Less than a week before Expomin 2025, the most important mining fair in Latin America that will bring together more than 1300 companies from around the world, brings among its many new features the “Pabellón de la Innovación Chile Mining METS”, which will feature the “Ágora de Innovación”, a place designed as an open and dynamic space oriented to attendees where throughout the week there will be lectures, presentations by experts in technology and mining, and activities focused on young talent. The initiative, jointly organized by FISA, the Ministry of Mining and Corporación Alta Ley, will be composed of 49 national suppliers and seeks to strengthen the innovation ecosystem within the mining industry. The Undersecretary of Mining, Suina Chahuán, president of the National Roundtable for the Development of Mining Supplier Companies, said that from the Ministry of Mining “we celebrate the first Pabellón de Innovación Chile Mining METS at Expomin 2025, a key instance to showcase the national technological talent of our suppliers and promote a more sustainable, safe and competitive mining industry”. “This initiative, the result of collaborative work between public and private organizations, will allow innovative suppliers -selected through a technical and transparent process- to present disruptive solutions in areas such as circular economy, environmental monitoring, digitalization and technologies applied to mining safety. With this milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to a mining industry that promotes territorial development, entrepreneurship and science and technology-based innovation throughout Chile”.
