An enveloping space in the shape of a cylinder will be the stage where the mining metaverse of Expomin 2025 can be experienced, a proposal that is emerging as one of the main attractions of the fair to be held between April 22 and 24 at Espacio Riesco. The activity, which will include talks by mining companies that are pioneers in the use of this technology, will present various virtual reality and mixed reality experiences that are revolutionizing different areas of the mining industry. An eye-catching portal will welcome attendees to the metaversal space, where they will be able to immerse themselves in unique experiences, including exploring a mining pit, driving a CAEX truck, operating a drilling machine in a subway mine and many other activities. Several of Minverso’s developments have multi-user functionality, allowing a shared experience in which multiple people can interact simultaneously in the same digital environment. This initiative is part of the collaboration agreement between Expomin 2025 and Minverso, a Chilean company specialized in the development of customized virtual reality and mixed reality experiences for the mining industry. This company is the creator of the world’s first mining metaverse, a digital environment that connects multiple users in the same mining space, regardless of their geographic location. “Three years ago, we only had a couple of mining companies that bet from the beginning on the potential of virtual reality in mining. Today, more than 20 entities have worked with us for training, exhibition of equipment and technologies, and even in the educational field, interacting in a metaversal ecosystem that benefits all its members. This growth confirms that people are looking for and need a deeper connection with content. We are happy that all attendees will be able to experience Minverso’s incredible technological advances at one of the most important mining fairs in the world,” said Rodrigo Gonzalez, CEO of Minverso. In addition to this innovative proposal, Minverso’s immersive stand will feature presentations from various players in the mining industry who have already implemented this technology, who will share their experiences in the use of immersive reality for training and mining operations, reaffirming its impact on the future of the sector. Several studies have shown that the use of virtual reality tools significantly improves attention and knowledge retention compared to traditional methods. This trend has driven the industry to continue developing these technologies, even incorporating artificial intelligence to offer even more complete and advanced experiences.
