The history of PEGASO lenses dates back to 1956, when the PEGASO truck and car factory contacted Dr. Luis Torrents, a qualified optician, to design and manufacture prescription safety lenses for their production line workers. Thus were born protective lenses that soon became a benchmark in the market. Their quality and design quickly spread their fame to other industries and the brand name PEGASO, taken from the initial customer, became a synonym for safety eyewear. In 1978, under the leadership of Mario Gorina, the company took a step forward by innovating and developing innovative eye protection systems and influencing the development of new European regulations, at the request of the Ministry of Labor. Since then, PEGASO SAFETY has become a highly valued partner among the leading companies in its sectors of activity due to its constant innovation, the quality of its products, its specialization in prescription protection lenses and the personalized treatment and attention it provides to each of its customers. Each of our glasses is subjected to the most demanding quality controls before reaching your hands. We perform 3 types of controls: 1. By batches, from production to the point of sale. 2. Certification by external laboratories of all the requirements demanded to comply with European regulations. 3. Our own periodical controls to maintain a constant quality. All our glasses have optical and mechanical homologation according to their use and purpose. Now present in Chile with a range of custom-made Prescription Safety Glasses with double international certification and the due resolutions of the ISP Chile valid until 2025, our services start from the measurement to obtain the ophthalmologic prescription of the user, manufacture of the custom-made lens, delivery and follow-up in the correct vision of the user for an adequate use and care of the occupational visual health.
