The XVII International Mining Exhibition and Congress, Expomin 2023, which will take place between April 24 and 27, 2023, will be held at the Parque Fisa fairgrounds, on more than 95,000 square meters, and will bring together the main exponents of the mining industry in Latin America. This was announced by Gl events Chile from Toronto, Canada, at the professional meeting Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada 2023 (PDAC) that took place between March 5 and 8, where representatives of Expomin 2023 together with the president of the international congress Amparo Cornejo VP Teck Latin America, were able to inform about the mining meeting that expects to contribute to the technological, innovation, sustainability and economic development of our country. This year, PDAC 2023 brought together more than 30,000 investors, analysts, industry executives, geologists and government officials from more than 130 countries, who exhibited their products and services related to the industry. The event also featured an extensive program of conferences, lectures and networking, including the Ministry of Mining Seminar “Chile: Leading a journey towards traceable, transparent and responsible mining”. In the Chile Pavilion, through public and private institutions headed by the Undersecretary of Mining, Willy Kracht, such as Sonami, Consejo Minero, Cochilco, Alta Ley, Minovex, Sernageomin and ProChile and various representatives of the mining industry, the potential of Chile was shown, giving an account of the advances in the field, considering the capacity and opportunity shown by the national mining deposits, its geology, giving an account of the possibilities in investment. According to figures from the Central Bank of Chile, Canada is to date the largest investor in mining in the country, with total investments of more than US$ 33 billion. EXPOMIN 2023 The largest international meeting in Latin America dedicated to the mining sector is organized by Fisa of the GL events Group, which will present an extensive program of activities with the active participation of the main mining companies, high technology suppliers, startups and key institutions that are part of the mining ecosystem.
