The organization emphasized that during these months a robust sanitary protocol was developed that will be applied in the face-to-face realization of the mining event. Santiago, February 24, 2021 – The organization in charge of Expomin -originally scheduled for April 19 to 23, 2021- has been forced to postpone the event. The precise date is tentatively being defined for October/November 2021 and will be communicated to you as soon as possible. FISA, organizer of the most important mining fair in Latin America, informs that it was forced to adopt this measure in view of the sanitary situation that continues to affect Chile and the world, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the only possible and appropriate decision was to postpone the fair, for reasons of force majeure beyond the organization’s control. In this context, FISA announced that “in the next version we will hold a hybrid version of the exhibition, that is, in a face-to-face and virtual format of the mining event, with an International Congress that will also be held through streaming in order to be connected with those who eventually cannot attend”. They also explained that the organization has already set up a digital platform that has become the “largest networking network in Latin America, which in its first version in November 2020 received more than 17 thousand visitors”.
