The participation in this event represents an excellent opportunity for business relations and to make known to the mining world the largest mining fair in Latin America to be held in Chile. Expomin made an intense promotional tour of Canada between June 13 and 15 at the annual mining exploration convention PDAC 2022, where the New Business Manager of GL events, Armando Valenzuela, highlighted the XVII World Mining Exhibition and Congress for Latin American Mining, to be held in Santiago de Chile between April 24 and 27, 2023. On the occasion, Valenzuela met with Paulo Soares, Director of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) and part of the Brazilian Mining Association, to renew the international cooperation agreement between Expomin and Exposibram, an international mining meeting in which we will participate as exhibitors in October of this year. He also held a meeting with Lisa McDonald, Executive Director of Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), where they explored opportunities for collaboration with Expomin. He also held a meeting with Alejandro Chevalier, from the Argentine Export Promotion Agency, and Araceli Guzmán, in charge of Mining and Energy of the province of Jujuy, Argentina, who confirmed their participation in Expomin 2023. After the meetings, Valenzuela said that he presented the challenges of Expomin 2023 to the private sector, in addition to holding meetings with representatives of the governments of Canada, Argentina and Brazil, and also presented the program of activities that the fair will have in its new 2023 version. “The participation in PDAC 2022 allowed us to promote Expomin and network with various countries present at the event, including Latin American countries. The event also allowed us to connect with exhibiting mining companies and to see the interest that exists to participate in the XVII World Mining Exhibition and Congress for Latin American Mining”, he said. The New Business Manager of GL events added that “we had a very good reception of the meetings we held, where they highlighted the importance of Expomin at international level. We hope that after the meetings there will be a greater participation and we will be able to count on new referents of the mining world”. In the same way, Valenzuela highlighted that “after our participation, we will launch a committee with the innovation management of GL events, which will allow us to gather the challenges faced by the mining sector, in order to prepare a program of world-class conferences that will help with the development of the industry”. Finally, he invited international mining exponents to be part of the meeting where the transfer of knowledge, experiences and the offer of technologies that contribute to innovation and increased productivity in mining processes will be promoted. “Being a platform of opportunities of global reach for Chile and foreign countries.
