The exhibition, organized by Fisa of the GL events Group, announced a few months ago that Espacio Riesco, located in the Huechuraba district, will once again host the most important mining event in the region from April 22 to 25, 2025. Expomin in its 2023 version brought together 1,270 exhibitors and, during its 4 days of operation, received a total of 58,052 visitors.

The venue has a total surface area of 120,000 m2 and annually receives all kinds of public and private activities, from meetings and gatherings of a few people to fairs, shows, governmental summits or international congresses.

Ximena Barra, Fisa’s Operations Manager, comments that “Espacio Riesco is a well-known place where we have held other versions of Expomin in the past. It has buildings that facilitate the development of the fair and congress. However, the magnitude of the event exceeds the permanent facilities, so there are additional areas where we will install temporary pavilions to expand the exhibition areas”.

Expomin 2025 will be spread over 100,000 m2 of exhibition space and will be made up of different exhibition pavilions distributed over the entire surface of the venue, these are: Hall 1, Hall 2, Hall 3, Mining Pavilion and the Open Areas. The international congress will take place in the venue’s convention center, which in its last version had a high attendance of 3,581 participants, 14 seminars and more than 100 speakers.

“In all my years as part of Operations, Expomin has always been a challenge that pushes teams to deliver to the best of their abilities. Despite the experience, each version presents diverse and new situations to solve operationally”, Barra closes.

The site has a large parking capacity, as well as direct connectivity with highways and subways. In this line, Fisa is developing a robust Mobility Plan where it is working with different public and private institutions, such as the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, advisors and strategic allies.

Francisco Sotomayor, CEO of GL events Chile, adds that “we want to guide the implementation of the plan with a sustainable vision, encouraging the use of this mobility system from different points of Santiago, in order to reduce the arrival of cars and mitigate the congestion that Expomin generates in its immediate surroundings. All of us who attend this great event will be responsible for collaborating with a fair committed to the environment”.

The most important mining fair in Latin America has established itself as a key space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and, especially, the presentation of technologies that drive innovation and improve productivity in mining processes.
