From April 24 to 27, the EXPOMIN 2023 International Fair will be held at the FISA Park in Santiago. A space that will have 95,000 m2 of exhibition space, around 1,000 exhibitors from more than 35 countries and more than 70,000 professionals related to the mining industry. As in the last editions, in this opportunity the Swiss Pavilion will be present with 100 m2 of exhibition space, concentrating 11 companies of Swiss origin, of which 9 are present with operations in the country and 2 others will come exclusively to the Fair to make themselves known and present their innovations and new technologies to the national industry. Switzerland, despite not being a mining country, has a great technological development and solutions for the mining industry worldwide, given its constant concern for having excellent quality raw materials and reliable traceability of its processes from their origins, for which Swiss companies in general, stand out for offering different solutions aimed at optimizing processes and therefore, a significant reduction of environmental impact. In this way, it is worth remembering the words of the Minister of Mining, Marcela Hernando, with whom the Chamber held a meeting at the end of last year, who highlighted the importance of Swiss companies in the sector, to move towards water efficiency, traceability, decarbonization and, in general, towards a more sustainable mining. Among the Swiss companies exhibiting in the pavilion are: ABB GLENCORE LEMO LATIN AMERICA SICPA SULZER FRACHT CHILE GEOBRUGG SEFAR LOMBARDI STM MINERALS FLYABILITY In addition, the Pavilion will have representatives and information from the following companies: CLEANMETALS, GRIVIX and AURAER. It is also important to remember that, in compliance with Swiss sustainability standards, the 2-story structure of the Pavilion is reusable and has a 5-year life span, so it does not generate waste during this period, being reassembled during the fairs and stored the rest of the time. The first use of the pavilion was in EXPOMIN 2021 and it will be reused in Espacio Food & Service 2022.
