I&M Ingeniería y Mantención Ltda. was born from the activity of Research and Consulting that, in the academic field, its General Manager played for many years, added to a trajectory of more than 40 years in mining developing continuous improvement activities. I&M has provided services to important clients such as Collahuasi, Cerro Colorado, El Abra, Michilla, Santa Margarita, Manto Verde and Compañía Minera Zaldívar, where it has provided services in the Mine and in the Plant both in its Dry Area and in its Wet Area. Since its creation to date, it has gone from being a microenterprise, consisting of 3 people, to being organized as an SME with 20 workers, registered in SICEP, REGIC and CCS. Our Mission has been to ensure the operational continuity of production processes, taking care of the lives of workers, with emphasis on Safety, the Environment and sustainability. Our Vision is to become the best strategic partner in the Operation of a Plant, incorporating Technological Innovation that optimizes the production process wherever we operate. For this reason, as of 2018, I&M begins R&D&I activities, for the development of technological innovation applied to mining and today has an attractive portfolio of projects that has captured the interest of the mining industry and that led to the recognition of R &M, in the annual innovation award of the Antofagasta Minerals Agreement – Mining Cluster for its “Contribution to Regional Innovation”, awarded in December 2019.
