The important international participation of over 20 countries is already confirmed for the next EXPOMIN 2020 trade fair that is scheduled for April 20-24, in Espacio Riesgo. The manager of EXPOMIN, Francisco Sotomayor, highlighted that ” up to now we have confirmed the participation of Latin American countries like Brazil. Peru and we are awaiting the confirmation of Argentina.” He added that, “Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, South Africa, Israel, the Czeck Republic, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and other European countries have already confirmed. In this framework, the manager of the largest fair in Latin America highlighted that all sales activities and national or international promotion is working normally, “with a great level of sales and reserves that surpass 70% to date. As an organization, we consider EXPOMIN to be an oportunity and a window to show the world the conditions that our country provides.  Mining is a very relavent sector for the development of Chile and its people, and we hope it to be a space for economic reactivation.” Sotomayor maintained. Promotion In order to surpass the expectatives of the former version, EXPOMIN is carrying out a full scale campaign to invite more enterprises and suppliers to join the mining exhibition. “During Dec. we held a meeting with over 50 representatives of different embassies and almost 100 suppliers. For this and the next few months we have programed a series of actions and promotional activities in Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and Canada. On the national level, similar promotional activities will be done in Antofagasta and Copiapo,” said the manager of EXPOMIN. To balance out, he added that during 2019, “our organization also did a strong promotion in Chile and internationally, including in Argetina, Brazil, China, Spain and Peru.” Among the challenges of 2020, Francisco Sotomayor highlighted that ” we surpassed the participation of 1300 exhibitor companies with over 70 thousand professional visits, both nationally and abroad..” And highlighted that ” in the new version we hope for the participation of over 35 countries and a crowd of 5 thousand foreign visitors, mainly from mining operations and projects in Latin America. In the same opportunity, he also said that “we have a program of visits for executives of mining companies in charge of supplies and purchases, engineering companies and widespread suppliers of goods and services. And we hope that in the framework of the fair there will be over 2500 business meetings  and that US$ 1700 million in business projects are concretized.
