Expomin, the most important mining event in Latin America, is facing a month full of activities and its sales team is finalising the details of its participation in Exponor, the international exhibition of technologies and innovations for the mining and energy industry, which will be held from 3 to 6 June at the Antofagasta Industrial Association’s trade fair and community activities centre. In the midst of positive figures and the support of various industry players (Expomin already has more than 40% of the total areas already committed, and 90% of its spaces sold in the so-called Hall 1 sector), the delegation will travel to the Antofagasta Region (which contributes 54% of the production of metallic and non-metallic minerals at national level and 16% of world production) with the aim of holding various meetings with clients and company representatives. “Our participation in Exponor will allow us to consolidate in situ the commercial and strategic links we have with the entire northern part of the country. It is a very important regional showcase and we hope to transmit the actions that we are carrying out during these days. For our part, we are very happy with the industry’s reception and our work is aimed at ensuring that the return of the fair to Espacio Riesco is an instance that companies can take advantage of in the best possible way”, says María de los Ángeles Troncoso, commercial manager of the exhibition, which will be held from 22 to 25 April 2025. It is a strategic showcase for the entire mining value chain and where we promote the transfer of knowledge, experiences and, especially, the offer of technologies that contribute to innovation, sustainability and increased productivity in mining processes. In addition, this year’s Congress, which will be held as part of the meeting, will focus on crucial issues such as climate change and energy transition,” she adds. Expomin’s commercial representation will arrive in Antofagasta on 2 June and will immediately move to the Exponor site to fine-tune its participation in the stand assigned by the organisation, 193 copper. The inauguration of the event will take place on Monday 3 June at 10:30 am.
